Q & A / FAQ

Find answers to all your questions

Finding your "right match" and placing your nanny may seem like an overwhelming process. Below you will find answers to many of the most frequently asked questions.

1. Are your candidates screened?

Each of our candidates are required to complete a thorough application and the personal interview process with a member of our staff. We verify all references and past experience in addition to conducting a full background investigation.

2. How long will the nanny search take?

On average we are able to place a nanny with your family within 4-6 weeks, sometimes sooner, depending on circumstances and leadtime.

3. What is the nanny's average salary and schedule?

The average salary ranges from $12 - $18 / Hour for a 40 - 50 hour wek week. Salaries vary based on experience, education level, and responsibilities. It is the responsibility of the employer (you)
and the employee (the nanny) to report taxes. Should you have questions related to salary taxes, please consult GTM Household Employment Experts or your own accountant.

4. Do employer families offer benefits?

Typically, families offer 1-2 weeks paid vacation, paid major holidays, and 3-5 paid sick days. Some families elect to offer health insurance or other benefits (i.e. cellphone, mileage
reimbursment, etc.)

5. Do you offer a replacement policy?

If within 6 months of your nanny's employment you decide that you have not found the right "fit" for your family, we will credit your fee toward an additional search with The Nanny Group. This is applicable for permanent, full time placements only.
